Ahmed Esat is Director and co-founder of Esat Smyth Consulting. Ahmed has 27+ years’ commercial and operational experience from progressive management roles in the UK public and global private sector. Ahmed’s expertise lies in multi-utility infrastructure, operations, asset management, business development, consultancy, stakeholder engagement, risk and auditing, and investment benefits realisation, where he has successfully led strategic projects in fast-paced change environments.

Ahmed also has extensive lecturing and assessing experience in engaging with partner universities and professional bodies conducting design and delivery for Business Studies, Leadership, Management, Built Environment, Procurement and Utility sector disciplines. Ahmed is currently completing his Executive MBA programme at Lancaster University.

Stephen Smyth is Director and co-founder of Esat Smyth Consulting. Prior to starting the consultancy, Stephen spent 15+ years’ in technical and operational management roles within the water industry. Stephen’s experience and expertise lies in Scientific Services, Asset Management, Customer Services, and Water and Wastewater Operations. However his passion revolves around passing on that knowledge to other utility professionals.

A committee member of the Northern Ireland Institute of Water and Trustee of several charities, Stephen is committed to contributing positively to the utility sector through charitable events and one-to-one mentoring of younger professionals.
